HONOLULU – June 2006. Halekulani, Hawaii’s leading luxury destination for discriminating travelers, announces the appointment of Ms. Ruselle Ku’uipo Metry as Los-Angeles based, North America Director of Regional Sales for both the Halekulani and Waikiki Parc Hotel. With more than 15-years experience in the travel industry, Metry will assist in overall sales, marketing, and promotional initiatives for Hotels & Resorts of Halekulani (HRH) portfolio in North America. Representing HRH at industry tradeshows and reservation centers, Metry will also coordinate group and corporate contracts. In addition, Ms. Metry will work with hotel management in the development and implementation of leisure travel marketing partners.
Prior to joining the Hotels & Resorts of Halekulani, Metry served as regional sales manager for Hawai’i World / Distinguished Resorts, a division of Pleasant Holidays, LLC. As the organization’s regional sales manager, Metry developed sales territories in Southern California and Arizona. In addition, Metry developed comprehensive marketing and business plans with travel consortia such as AAA, American Express, Signature Travel Network and Virtuoso. Metry’s extensive travel industry experience also includes her role as Account Executive with Sunquest Holidays and as a Service Manager with MGM Grand Air.
