HALEKULANI LIVING PRESENTS LYNNE ROSSETTO KASPER “The Splendid Table”
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE HONOLULU, HI – December 19, 2006. A savory Italian meal is as comforting as a “House Befitting Heaven” in the sophisticated heart of Waikiki. On Sunday, January 14, 2007, from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m., the passion and skill of Northern Italian cooking will come to life at Hawaii’s premiere resort, Halekulani, with special guest, Lynne Rossetto Kasper. Co-presented by the Hale ‘Aina ‘Ohana, renowned author, speaker, broadcast host and chef, Kasper invites guests to journey back 500-years in exploration of the most fascinating and little-known culinary traditions in all of Italy.
For $75 per person, guests will enjoy an interactive lecture and slideshow presentation, food and wine reception and receive a copy of her award-winning book, “The Splendid Table: Recipes from Emilia-Romagna, the Heartland of Northern Italian Food.” For ten years, Kasper researched the region of Emilia-Romagna, widely known for producing three of the country’s world-class foods: Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, Prosciutto di Parma and the true balsamic vinegar that is aged for decades and sipped as a liqueur. Reservations are available at 931-5040. Complimentary valet parking provided courtesy of Halekulani.
