About Jun Pinon
Jun Piñon is San Francisco’s most celebrated floral designer (www.Piñondesign.com). His designs possess an unmistakable quality that commands attention.  A budding florist who arrived in the United States at age 16 and began his colorful career in the back of a delivery truck, Pinon’s first hotel florist job was at the famed Halekulani, on the beach at Waikiki, where he collaborated with Halekulani’s beloved Aunty Nani on timeless and elegant designs. He later studied under acclaimed designer, Stanlee Gatti, eventually gaining the attention of the Bay Area, with showcase designs gracing the lobbies of the Four Seasons Hotel and Ritz Carlton Hotel, along with the San Francisco Ballet, Williams-Sonoma, SF Garden Club and countless notable galas.

The contrast of his current success and his childhood in Manila taught Jun the importance of community and charity. No matter how many of his flowers grace the city at any given time, Jun is deeply involved in charity events such as his Flower Power demonstrations for the Salvation Army. Jun still enjoys delivering his flowers in person, and shares his design secrets with groups of 300 and more during interactive floral design workshops held throughout the city.  “Flowers are very personal and hold a direct emotional connection,” says Jun. “There is nothing better than seeing someone’s reaction to a flower arrangement. Flowers are meant to be shared.”
